1. Who we are

Harun Raaj & Associates ("we", "us") is a Chartered Accountancy firm registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI Membership No. 238303, Firm Registration No. 19027S), practising at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information necessary to deliver professional tax, audit, and advisory services:

• Identity documents: PAN, Aadhaar, passport (for KYC and filings)
• Financial data: income statements, bank statements, Form 16, AIS/26AS data
• Contact details: name, email, mobile number
• Portal credentials: encrypted IT portal passwords (AES-256-GCM) for filing on your behalf
• Usage data: pages visited, tool interactions (anonymised, no tracking cookies)

3. How we use your information

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Prepare and file income tax returns, GST returns, and regulatory forms
• Conduct KYC verification as required by applicable law
• Send compliance reminders and deadline alerts
• Respond to your queries via the client portal or email

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage and security

All data is stored on servers located in India (Supabase — ap-south-1 region). Financial credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2+. Access is restricted to your CA and authorised firm staff.

5. Retention

We retain your records for a minimum of 8 years from the end of the relevant assessment year, in compliance with Section 44AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and the Institute's guidelines. You may request deletion of non-statutory data by writing to us.

6. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data (subject to statutory retention requirements). To exercise these rights, contact us at hr@hr-ca.com.

7. Cookies

harunraaj.com uses no third-party tracking cookies. We use a single first-party session cookie for the authenticated client portal.
